PreProBono is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that helps economically disadvantaged and predominately minority and female pre-law students acquire and utilize law degrees for careers in public interest law.

We do this by:

  • offering the best LSAT prep;
  • offering the best law school admissions consulting; and
  • building a network of public interest minded individuals

at low cost or for free.

The first PreProBono Weekend Program for LSAT was launched in April of 2008. Since then, PreProBono has run over a dozen programs spanning New York City, Boston, Berkeley, Los Angeles, Minneapolis and Honolulu and served over 700 students. PreProBono’s network of alumni is now expanding to different law schools across the country. The fanfare from our students has been especially positive and heartfelt. Our hope is that we can provide our intensive program to every eligible student in the world. Lawyers wield tremendous power in shaping our lives. We hope to inject the world with as many bright good-willed PreProBono Alumni as possible.

Where did PreProBono come from?

PreProbono got its start under the umbrella of an organization called Prime Produce. A little more about them:

Prime Produce is a New York City based 501(c)3 not-for-profit whose mission is to provide a nontraditional approach to the nonprofit sector geared toward creative and entrepreneurial young people. We aim to provide them with resources and guidance with which to launch their own projects—just like this program right here: PreProBono!

Our hope is that through cooperative, creative, and ambitious involvement in the NPO sector, we can mutually inspire and enhance the next generation of altruistic leaders.
